Champion US sire Tapit, responsible for Klawervlei Stud’s exciting young stallion Coup De Grace, reached another major landmark in his remarkable career when his son Blind Ambition (pictured, Source: Bloodhorse) won the Quick Call Stakes at Saratoga recently.

Blind Ambition, who has now won three of six starts, is one of 16 individual black type winners in North America this year for Tapit, whose daughter Dream Dancing (a 23rd G1 winner for Tapit) won the G1 Del Mar Oaks on Saturday. Other notable G1 winners for Tapit in 2017 include Cupid and Belmont Stakes winner Tapwrit, a runner in this weekend’s G1 Travers Stakes at Saratoga.

At the time of writing, Tapit (represented by five individual G1 winners in 2016) sired runners have already banked over $8 million in 2017 in North America alone.

Triple Champion Sire Tapit, whose son Concord Point is the sire of brilliant recent G1 LonginesTest Stakes winner American Gal, is also now making his mark as a sire of sires, with his son Tapizar among the Leading Second Crop Sires in North America.

Multiple graded stakes winner Coup De Grace, whose first foals have arrived to rave reviews this season, is the only son of this truly remarkable stallion currently standing at stud in South Africa and he looks well on track to continuing the great Tapit legacy.
