WARM WHITE NIGHT’S IMPRESSIVE DEBUT WINNER

Klawervlei Stud’s well performed sire Warm White Night had an eye catching juvenile winner at the Vaal on Thursday.

Leftrightgoodnight, well supported in the betting for the maiden juvenile plate, stamped himself as a two-year-old of considerable promise when drawing clear of the Australian bred favourite Mutawaary to post a 2.6 length debut win over 1200 metres. It was another 5.85 lengths back to the third place finisher, with the rest of the field well detached.

Bred by Klawervlei, Leftrightgoodnight cost owners Mark Currie, David Shawe, Larry Wainstein and Imagine Racing R275 000 at last year’s Cape Premier Yearling Sale.

He is trained by Joey Soma (who also part owns the colt), who also handles Warm White Night’s smart recent winner, and Klawervlei Farm Sale graduate, Walker.

Himself a dual G1 winner, Warm White Night, whose first crop included the graded stakes winners Harlem Shake and Hard Day’s Night, has three lots on offer at next month’s Klawervlei Farm Sale –a filly whose dam is a full-sister to G3 Champion Juvenile Cup winner Swingtime (dam of smart 2yo Whorly Whorly) (Lot 46), a colt out of seven time stakes winner and Oaks runner up Salutation (Lot 55), and a colt out of an own sister to stakes winner and G1 Premier’s Champion Stakes runner up Black Toga (Lot 86).
