Gainesway Farm’s multiple champion sire TAPIT (Pulpit), whose high-class Klawervlei Stud based son COUP DE GRACE will be represented by his first runners this season, had a big weekend in North America, with both Tapit and his hugely promising sire son CONSTITUTION responsible for graded stakes winners.

Tapit, who was Champion Sire in North America in 2014, 2015, 2016, was responsible for a pair of graded stakes winners over the weekend. His son SILVER DUST won the G3 West Virginia Governor’s Stakes on Saturday, and the following day, Tapit’s son KINGLY captured the G3 La Jolla Handicap on turf.

Multiple champion sire Tapit has now been responsible for no fewer than 10 group/graded stakes winners in 2019 including top-class 3yo TACTICUS.

The son of Pulpit has also enjoyed notable success as a sire of sires this season, with Tapit responsible for three of the top ten sires on the 2019 Leading First-Crop Sires List in North America this year.
Tapit’s multiple G1 winning son CONSTITUTION is currently the Leading First Crop Sire in North America this year, and that red hot young stallion was responsible for a second graded stakes winner from his first crop of two-year-olds when his first crop daughter AMALFI SUNRISE won the G2 Sorrento Stakes by six lengths at Del Maron Saturday. Now unbeaten in two starts, Amalfi Sunrise looks destined for bigger and better things.

Amalfi Sunrise joins G3 Sanford Stakes winner BY YOUR SIDE as a first crop graded stakes winner for Constiution.

The latter’s paternal half-brother COUP DE GRACE was a lightning fast racehorse, whose wins included scores in both the G2 Amsterdam and G3 Bay Shore Stakes.

A half-brother to G1 winning two-year-old DANCING RAGS, Coup De Grace has some exceptionally well bred two-year-olds representing him this year, and he looks an exciting prospect!
