FIFTH FIRST CROP WINNER FOR CAPTAIN OF ALL

Klawervlei Stud’s triple G1 winner CAPTAIN OF ALL (Captain Al) has made a bright start with his first two-year-olds this season, and the former Equus Champion Sprinter was responsible for a fifth first crop winner when his beautifully bred son INDY GO made a winning debut at the Vaal on Thursday.

Bred by the late Greg Royden-Turner, the Candice Dawson trained grey powered clear on Thursday to win first time out by a length and a quarter over 1200 metres.
The Ralphs Racing owned INDY GO was a R325 000 buy from the 2018 Emperors Palace National Yearling Sale.

Out of a daughter of INDIGO MAGIC, Indy Go continues the pleasing start his sire has made this season, with Captain Of All’s other first crop winners including the Listed East Cape Fillies Nursery winner CAPTAIN ANNE BONNY and feature race contenders WHAT YOU ARE and GUANTANAMO BAY.

Currently one of South Africa’s Leading First Crop sires by stakes, Captain Of All rates as one of the very best sire sons of Klawervlei’s multiple champion sire CAPTAIN AL.

A Klawervlei Farm Sale purchase, Captain Of All won or placed in 11 of his 12 outings, with the champion’s victories including the 2015 G1 Mercury Sprint (where he thrashed champions CARRY ON ALICE and LEGISLATE), 2015 G1 Golden Horse Sprint and the 2013 G1 Gold Medallion (beating G1 winners WILLOW MAGIC, KOCHKA and NORMANZ).
