SUNDAY DOUBLE FOR CAPTAIN OF ALL

Klawervlei Stud’s promising young sire CAPTAIN OF ALL (Captain Al) has been in good form this past week, and the former Equus Champion Sprinter, and Klawervlei Farm Sale graduate, was at it again at Hollywoodbets Greyville on Sunday with his only two runners on the day both scoring impressive victories at the KZN racecourse.

The Riverton Stud bred champion’s first success came when his consistent 3yo daughter LADY LEGEND romped home over 1400m to shed her maiden impressively for trainer Wayne Badenhorst, jockey Muzi Yeni, and owners Lady Colleen Glaeser and Mr J S Mostert.

Bred by the Estate of the Late Greg Royden-Turner, Lady Legend had been second at her two previous starts but made amends in no uncertain fashion with her win on Sunday.

Captain Of All’s second success on Sunday came when his Garth Puller trained son SELF-MASTERY made most of the running, under Luke Ferraris, to score a convincing 1.75 length maiden win over 1900m for owner-breeder, the Waterford Stud.

South Africa’s Leading First Crop Sire of 2018-2019, Captain Of All has now been responsible for 21 first crop winners.

One of the very best sons of multiple champion sire Captain Al, and a total outcross for both NORTHERN DANCER and MR PROSPECTOR line mares, Captain Of All has one colt on offer at the 2019 Emperors Palace Ready To Run Sale, and has three lots on November’s CTS Ready To Run Sale.
