TWICE OVER CHAMPION WINS VODACOM DURBAN JULY –AGAIN!

Klawervlei Stud’s four time G1 winner TWICE OVER (Observatory) made news in a big way on Saturday when his outstanding son DO IT AGAIN captured the G1 Vodacom Durban July for a second time –in breath taking fashion.

Under jockey Richard Fourie, the Justin Snaith trained Do It Again (a member of his sire’s remarkable first crop) showed his class when defying 60kgs to best G1 Sun Met winner RAINBOW BRIDGE by 0.3 of a length.

In the process, Do It Again became the first since EL PICHA to capture the July two years in a row.

Bred by the Northfields Stud, four-year-old Do It Again was one of two runners in the 2019 Vodacom Durban July sired by Twice Over –also represented by triple graded stakes winner DOUBLEMINT.

Do It Again, now a seven time winner from 13 starts, has five graded stakes wins to his name for owners Nick Jonsson, Bernard Kantor and the estate of the late Jack Mitchell.

The leading contender to be named South Africa Horse Of The Year for 2018-2019, Do It Again has now earned in excess of R8 000 000 in stakes.

His sire Twice Over has a number of promising two-year-olds to his name including INVIDIA who ran a storming third in Saturday’s G2 Durban Golden Horseshoe.Q
