Klawervlei Stud’s Vodacom Durban July winning sire POMODORO (Jet Master) looks to have come up with another smart looking performer in the form of INDLAMU.
The latter, racing, like his sire did, for owner Chris Van Niekerk and trainer Sean Tarry, made it two wins from just three starts with an impressive display at Turffontein on Thursday afternoon.
A smart maiden winner last time out, Indlamu made it back to back wins when defying a poor draw to win by four and a quarter lengths over 1400m on Thursday.
Ridden to victory by Lyle Hewitson, Indlamu was bred, like Pomodoro’s top-class son CIRILLO, by the Riverton Stud.
South Africa’s Leading First Season Sire of 2017-2018, Pomodoro enjoyed a fine season in 2019-2020 with his flag bearers headed by such graded stakes winners as CIRILLO and GOLDEN BELLE as well as Devon Air Stakes heroine CARALLUMA.
