The list of high-class horses sold off Klawervlei Farm Sales continues to grow, with the latest potential star Farm Sale buy being the hugely exciting KOMMETDIEDING (Elusive Fort).

The latter, winner of the 2020 Klawervlei Farm Sale Graduate Race, made it three wins from three starts when romping home at Kenilworth on Saturday.

Stepping up to 1600m for a first time, the Klawervlei Stud bred Kommetdieding, despite being slow away, powered home, under Sihle Cele, to record a dazzling three and a half length win for the training partnership for Harold Crawford and Michelle Rix, and owner Ashwin Reynolds.

The colt had previously accounted for G1 Cape Racing Presents The Cape Guineas winner RUSSIAN ROCK (Pomodoro) when scoring over 1200m at his previous start.

Out of the CAPTAIN AL (Al Mufti) mare ADORABLE, Kommetdieding was a R55 000 buy from the 2019 Klawervlei Farm Sale.

The 2020 Klawervlei Farm Sale has also already enjoyed success, with the RAFEEF (Redoute’s Choice) sired pair of BELLA CHICA and DOCKOFTHEBAY, both bred by Klawervlei, winning impressively recently. The Ashley Fortune trained Bella Chica, a R35 000 Farm Sale buy, followed up a third place finish on debut when winning over 1000m at Turffontein for owners Mr G Frank & Ms H Palmer, while the Sean Tarry trained Dockofthebay, a R271 000 buy, caught the eye when making a winning debut at Turffontein on Saturday for owner Chris Van Niekerk.

South Africa’s newest equine star joins the likes of champion sprinter and Klawervlei’s successful resident sire CAPTAIN OF ALL (Captain Al), dual G1 winning Equus Champion EDICT OF NANTES (Count Dubois), and the likes of graded stakes winners BARRACK STREET (Dynasty), and SOCIAL ORDER (Count Dubois) as top-class performers sold off past renewals of the Klawervlei Farm Sale.
