Brilliant three-year-old KOMMETDIEDING (Elusive Fort), a graduate of the 2019 Klawervlei Farm Sale, showed his class when he won Saturday’s G3 Politician Stakes (1800m) at Kenilworth in fine style.
An impressive winner of his first three starts, including the Klawervlei Farm Sale Graduate Race, the Klawervlei Stud bred Kommetdieding justified favouritism, and took his record to four wins from four starts, in the Politician Stakes with a polished effort.
Under regular rider Sihle Cele, Kommetdieding defied 60kgs to pull clear and score by a length and a half, while confirming himself as one of the most exciting three-year-olds currently in training in South Africa.
Trained by Harold Crawford and Michelle Rix, and owned by Ashwin Reynolds, Kommetdieding was a R55 000 buy from the 2019 Klawervlei Farm Sale.
In 2021, the Klawervlei Farm Sale is set to have a new home in the form of the magnificent De Grendel Wine Estate. The sale has been re-named ‘The CTS-De Grendel Farm Sale’, and looks set to continue to enjoy its status as one of South Africa’s most popular, and increasingly successful, auctions on the equestrian calendar.
The sale is open to all vendors, and entry forms can be found online at www.capethoroughbredsales.com
