Klawervlei Stud’s four-time G1 winning sire TWICE OVER (Observatory) has been enjoying a good run of success this season, and the former European champion looks to have come up with a potentially smart sort in the form of promising filly HOTCHIWITCHI

The latter made it two wins from just three starts, when powering home, from off the pace, to score a good win at Turffontein on Saturday afternoon.

Trained by Sean Tarry, the Chris Van Niekerk owned Hotchiwitchi ran on strongly, under Lyle Hewitson, to make it back to back wins when scoring by a head over 1600 metres.

Bred by Normandy Stud, Hotchiwitchi had finished third on debut (behind fellow Twice Over daughter BELLA BLACK) before winning her next two starts.

Her dual G1 Emirates Airline Champion Stakes-winning sire Twice Over had a good weekend, with his son THE SUMMONS having broken his maiden at Fairview on Friday, while scoring for Gavin Smith, Lukas Bester and owners Messrs Andre Van Schaik, F du Toit, Andrew Stirling & Mr D M & Mrs L J Johnson.

Already the sire of an outstanding champion in the form of dual Vodacom Durban July winner DO IT AGAIN,  Twice Over also has a promising two-year-old to his credit this season in the form of impressive debut winner SMORGASBORD.
