Klawervlei Stud’s four-time G1 winning sire TWICE OVER (Observatory) has been in great form of late, with his progeny winning races all over South Africa, and the former European champion was at it again on Tuesday when Twice Over supplied a pair of winners at the Vaal.

The Peter Matchett trained BELLA BLACK provided Twice Over with his first success on Tuesday when she romped home, under an inform Muzi Yeni, to score a two length win over 1200m.

Bred by Klawervlei Stud, the three-year-old filly, who races for Dr M Taljaardt & Messrs P Boonzaaier & C F Strydom, had been placed in her two previous outings, with Bella Black having finished fourth to the smart MAY QUEEN (Skitt Skizzle) last time out.

Twice Over’s regally bred daughter ENCORE, a half-sister to Klawervlei Stud’s successful sire POMODORO (Jet Master), followed up in the very next race.

Under Lyle Hewitson, the Sean Tarry trained four-year-old stayed on strongly to post just over three-parts of a length win, while winning over 1450m.

Bred by Klawervlei Stud, Encore races for Chris Van Niekerk and Sean Tarry Racing (Pty) Ltd.

Twice Over, whose dual Vodacom Durban July winning son DO IT AGAIN recently made a winning return to the racetrack, has some very promising two-year-olds to his name this season, including G24Racing SA Nursery runner up SMORGASBORD.

The champion has 12 lots on the CTS Farm Yearling Sale, and eight lots on the KZN Yearling Sale.
