Klawervlei Stud’s inform sire TWICE OVER has been enjoying another good run, and the former European champion came up with two more winners at Kenilworth on Wednesday.

Twice Over struck first when his three-year-old son OVER TWO YOU captured Wednesday’s fifth race in game fashion. The Candice Bass-Robinson trained colt stayed on strongly, under Keagan De Melo, to shed his maiden by a neck. He is owned by Ken and Jane Truter,  Over Two You was bred by Ridgemont Highlands.

Twice Over’s second success at Kenilworth came in the very next race, when his son DOUBLE CHARGE scored a convincing win over 1200 metres. Trained by Andre Nel, for owner-breeder Sabine Plattner, Double Charge made it two wins from his last three starts, with a half-length triumph under Grant Van Niekerk. Bred on the same Twice Over/Casey Tibbs cross as champion DO IT AGAIN, Double Charge has either won or been placed in no fewer than 16 races.

Twice Over, who has two sons entered in the 2022 G1 Cape Town Met, has eight lots entered on the 2022 Cape Premier Yearling Sale.
