Fresh off supplying a trio of winners over the past weekend, Klawervlei Stud’s very much inform stallion TWICE OVER (Observatory) was at it again when responsible for two more winners at the Vaal on Tuesday.

Twice Over’s first success on Tuesday came when his three-year-old son ANOTHER LEVEL downed some promising sorts to land a graduation plate in pleasing fashion. Another son of Twice Over, CALIBRE CREST, finished third to Another Level. Under Muzi Yeni, the Candice Dawson trained gelding pulled well clear in the closing stages of Tuesday’s 1700m contest to win impressively by two lengths.

The lightly raced Another Level, yet another impressive three-year-old winner for his sire this season,  has now won twice from just six starts. Bred by the Ralphs Syndicate, Another Level is owned by Messrs Suven Govender, J Jacobi, S L Moodley & Ralphs Racing (Pty) Ltd.

His sire struck again when Twice Over’s promising two-year-old son TAIKONAUT downed some hard-knocking older rivals to win the ninth and final race. The Roy Magner trained colt made it back to backs when storming clear to score by nearly five lengths and Taikonaut looks a very exciting prospect indeed. Bred by Cheveley Stud, Taikonaut has now won twice from just five starts for owner Mr Chung.

His four-time G1 winning sire Twice Over has had a superb season in 2021-2022 with his runners having captured such notable races as the G1 Cape Guineas, G2 World Sports Betting 1900, G2 Senor Santa Stakes, Listed Ibhayi Stakes and Listed WSB Sweet Chestnut Stakes this season thus far.
