Klawervlei Stud’s multiple G1 winning sire CAPTAIN OF ALL (Captain Al) looks to have a very smart prospect to his name in the form of KISS ME CAPTAIN.

The latter made it three wins from three starts when running out an impressive winner at the Vaal on Thursday and Kiss Me Captain looks destined for bigger and better things.

Trained by Michael and Adam Azzie, three-year-old Kiss Me Captain was sent off a well backed tote favourite for Thursday’s Furious Room Now Opened Graduation Plate (F&M) over 1200m, and duly lived up to expectations. Under Diego De Gouveia, Kiss Me Captain was always up with the pace and the speedy filly kicked on nicely in the closing stages to win comfortably by a length and a half.

Bred and owned, in partnership with Courtney Soal, by Kevin Soal, Kiss Me Captain has now won all three of her starts by an aggregate of more than six lengths.

South Africa’s Leading First Season Sire of 2018-2019, and Equus Champion Sprinter of 2014-2015, Captain Of All has some very well related two-year-olds on offer at the upcoming Cape Racing Ready To Run & 2YO Unbroken Sale. His draft includes a colt (Lot 47) bred on similar lines to G3 Umkhomazi Stakes winner CAPTAIN IN COMMAND (Captain Al), a full-sister (Lot 74) to Listed Summer Juvenile Stakes runner up EMBLEM OF HOPE, and a filly (Lot 80) from the same female line as the Captain Al sired smart fillies TICK TOCK and RED DISA.
