Klawervlei Stud’s bang inform sire TWICE OVER (Observatory) had another memorable weekend this past week when the former European champion was responsible for four more winners.
Not only did Twice Over enjoy a double on Saturday, he came up with two more impressive winners at Hollywoodbets Kenilworth the following day.
His son DOUBLE GAMES kicked off Twice Over’s fine weekend when he scored at Champ De Mars on Saturday while the same day saw Twice Over gelding ANOTHER LEVEL claim the last race at Turffontein on Charity Mile day.
Trained by Candice Dawson, Another Level, under a well-judged ride from Keagan De Melo, came with a late rattle to land Saturday’s 1600m contest by a length and a quarter. Bred by the Ralphs Syndicate, Another Level, who has now won four of just ten starts, races for Messrs Suven Govender, J Jacobi, S L Moodley, Ralphs Racing (Pty) Ltd, & Race Ready Syndication (Pty) Ltd.
Twice Over’s good run continued at Kenilworth the following day when his sons TWICE THE MASTER and HAMMIES HERO won the fifth and sixth races respectively.
The Vaughan Marshall trained Twice The Master picked up the second win of his career when he claimed Sunday’s Paarl Diamant Estate Classified Stakes (2200m) under Jabu Jacobs. Bred and owned by John Kinsley, Twice The Master has now won two of his last three starts.
Twice Over is also the sire of the very exciting three-year-old HAMMIES HERO, who made it two wins from just three starts when running out an impressive winner of Sunday’s Klawervlei Stud MR 80 Handicap over 1200 metres.
A three-parts brother to the Twice Over sired G1 Cape Guineas winner DOUBLE SUPERLATIVE, the Candice Bass-Robinson trained colt powered home in the closing stages to score by nearly half a length.
Bred by Klawervlei Stud, Hammies Hero races for Greenacres Trust and Bryn Ressell.
Also sire of impressive recent Southeaster Sprint winner RESONATE, Twice Over has a single lot on offer at the 2022 November Two Year Old Sale.
