Klawervlei Stud’s triple G1 winning sire CAPTAIN OF ALL (Captain Al) is having another good season this year, and the former Equus Champion enjoyed further success when he came up with an eye catching debut winner at Hollywoodbets Scottsville on Wednesday.

His two-year-old daughter CAPTAIN’S CHRISTY downed some well bred juveniles when storming home to land Wednesday’s Maiden Juvenile Plate (Fillies) over 1000 metres.¬†Under Cole Dicken, the Mark Dixon trained filly ran on strongly to get up close home and score by just over a length.

Owned by her trainer, in partnership with Jay Joseph and Kevin Rice, Captain’s Christy was bred by the Clifton Stud.

Himself a G1 winner at two, Captain Of All is no stranger to siring classy two-year-old fillies, with the son of Captain Al also responsible for the likes of SPRINGS OF CARMEL (G2 Pospack SA Fillies Nursery), CAPTAIN ANNE BONNY (East Cape Fillies Nursery), CAPTAIN’S RUN (2nd G3 Strelitzia Stakes) and WHAT YOU ARE (Devon Air Stakes).

The Riverton Stud bred sprint champion has eight lots on offer at the upcoming Cape Yearling Sale including a filly (Lot 18) out of G2 Wilgerbosdrift SA Oaks third place getter ROYAL UTOPIA (Ideal World), and a filly (Lot 149) from the family of champions KAYF TARA (Sadler’s Wells) and OPERA HOUSE (Sadler’s Wells).
