Klawervlei Stud’s triple G1 winning stallion CAPTAIN OF ALL (Captain Al) has a very game son to his credit in the form of CAPTAIN DIZZY. The latter made it four wins from five starts since relocating to Gauteng when he won impressively at the Vaal on Tuesday.

Trained by Barend Botes and Yolandie Vosloo, the five-year-old was always up with the pace in Tuesday’s 1200m contest, and when Siyanda Sosibo asked him to quicken, Captain Dizzy kicked away to win as he liked by two and a half lengths. It was a fine performance by the Klawervlei Stud bred gelding, as Captain Dizzy had 61kgs on his back and had to concede weight to the entire field.

Owned by Messrs Andre van Schaik, M D Ragavan, Q Thaver & Mrs K Ramsewak, Captain Dizzy has proved a revelation since moving to Gauteng. A winner of his first three starts in the province, Captain Dizzy finished second last time out, to the very talented I AM GIANT (Querari), before his impressive latest win.

Captain Dizzy has now won six times in total for earnings of more than R400 000 and he should not stop here!

His sire CAPTAIN OF ALL, South Africa’s Leading First Season Sire of 2018-2019, has had another good season in 2022-2023, with his flagbearers headed by Listed Swallow Stakes winner KISS ME CAPTAIN and promising two-year-olds ELUSIVE WINTER, MEU CAPITANO and G2 WSB SA Nursery runner up JERUSALEMA RAIN among others.

The champion son of Captain Al has two lots on offer at the 2023 August Two Year Old Sale.
