Klawervlei Stud’s inform stallion CAPTAIN OF ALL (Captain Al) looks to have a promising two-year-old to his name this season in the form of FIERY PEGASUS.

The latter made it two wins from just four starts when she won at Turffontein on Sunday afternoon.

Trained by Joe Soma, Fiery Pegasus was given a shrewd ride by Richard Fourie in Sunday’s 4Racing Welcomes You Juvenile Plate (Fillies) (1400m). Fourie settled his mount and bought Fiery Pegasus with a sustained late run which saw the combination get up to win impressively by a length and three quarters.

Fourie described the filly as a “lovely  filly with plenty more to come” in the post-race interview, and Fiery Pegasus looks to have a bright future ahead of her.

Bred by Greenacres Trust and the Hemel ‘N Aarde Stud, Fiery Pegasus races for Messrs J R Blumberg,D Chinsammy,R G Coppin,E Naicker,B M Nassif, G, K & M M Nassif,Mr B & Mrs K Ncube,MGAS Bloodstock, Kisten Pillay Racing Syndicate.

The well bred Fiery Pegasus is a full-sister to multiple graded stakes winner SHANGO (Captain Of All).

She was one of two winners for her sire this weekend, with Captain Of All gelding PURPLE OPERATOR winning at Fairview on Friday. Now a five time winner, the Keivan Stud bred Purple Operator races for the Hollywood Syndicate.
