Klawervlei Stud’s well performed young stallion ROYAL MO (Uncle Mo) looks to have a progressive son to his name in the form of BOB’S YOUR UNCLE. The latter made it back to back wins when scoring at the Vaal on Thursday, with the three-year-old having now won twice from just three starts.
Seventh on debut, Bob’s Your Uncle broke his maiden next time out before following that effort up with a smart performance on Thursday. Under Craig Zackey, the Lucky Houdalakis trained gelding went out to make the running in the last race on the card. Appearing beaten close home, Bob’s Your Uncle fought back and flew up late to split runners and win a shade cosily by a neck.
It was a fine performance by Bob’s Your Uncle, who had to lug 60.5kgs on Thursday.
Bred by Patricia Devine Investments, Bob’s Your Uncle races for Messrs E Miliotis, A J McNabb, Lucky Houdalakis, Coenie Strydom and Stone Hill Stud.
Bob’s Your Uncle hails from the first crop of his sire, with Royal Mo’s initial crop headed by R5 million plus earner ROYAL AUSSIE.
Winner of the G3 Robert B. Lewis Stakes and third in the G1 Santa Anita Derby, Royal Mo has five lots on offer at this year’s National Yearling Sale including a filly (Lot 168) out of a stakes winning daughter of CAPTAIN AL (Al Mufti).
