Klawervlei Stud’s very much inform resident sire CAPTAIN OF ALL (Captain Al) had a day to remember on Tuesday when the former Equus Champion came up with two smart winners, headed by an eye catching debut winner, at Hollywoodbets Kenilworth.

The Klawervlei Stud bred two-year-old ELUSIVE WINTER (Captain Of All) made the perfect start to his racing career when he ran out a ready winner of the third race at Kenilworth on Tuesday. Despite being green in running,  the Harold Crawford/Michelle Rix trained colt powered home, under JP Van Der Merwe, to make a winning debut in open company and land Tuesday’s Cape Racing Sales Maiden Plate (1000m) by half a length.

The race was a great one for Captain Of All, whose three-year-old son CAPTAIN CASANOVA finished second to his year-younger paternal half half-brother Elusive Winter. Owned by Westward Bloodstock, Elusive Winter is held in high regards by his connections and he looks to have a bright future ahead of him.

The inform training partnership of Harold Crawford and Michelle Rix struck again with a Captain Of All sired runner when SHE’S MY CAPTAIN (Captain Of All) won the fifth race at Hollywoodbets Kenilworth. Under a well-timed ride from Richard Fourie (who has built up a great rapport with She’s My Captain), the uber-consistent four-year-old was always up with the pace in Tuesday’s 1000m contest and stayed on nicely to score by a length. Another bred by Klawervlei, She’s My Captain has won or been placed in each of her six starts, with Tuesday’s win the third of her career.

The filly races for Michelle Rix and Mr Long.
