Klawervlei Stud’s exciting resident stallion POMODORO (Jet Master) was responsible for a smart looking debut winner at Turffontein on Heritage Day.
His three-year-old daughter GOLDEN BELLE made a big impression when winning first-time out over 1200m on Tuesday, under jockey Raymond Danielson.

Trained by Sean Tarry for owner Chris Van Niekerk, as was her sire, Golden Belle stormed home to get up and win by a length, despite having to switch out close to home, and she looks a smart prospect in the making.

Bred by Klawervlei, Golden Belle is one of a number of exciting three-year-olds set to represent Pomodoro this season, with others including G2 Durban Golden Horseshoe runner up PUTONTHEREDLIGHT.

South Africa’s Leading First Crop Sire of 2017-2018, and already responsible for a multiple G1 winning champion in the form of RETURN FLIGHT, Pomodoro has two lots on offer at the 2019 Emperors Palace Ready To Run Sale –a colt (Lot 131) out of a six time winning daughter of CAPTAIN AL, and a filly (Lot 140) whose 3 time winning dam is a three-parts sister to millionaire MANNEQUIN.
