THURSDAY DOUBLE FOR CAPTAIN OF ALL

The Klawervlei Stud based champion sprinter CAPTAIN OF ALL (Captain Al) has been in tremendous form of late, with his progeny winning good races all over South Africa.

Fresh off supplying debut winner LINEBACKER earlier in the week, the triple G1 winning Captain Of All was at it again when he was responsible for a pair of winners at the Vaal on Thursday afternoon.

Consistent two-year-old SOUTH EAST became Captain Of All's seventh juvenile winner for the 2019-2020 season thus far when he romped home to a facile maiden win over 1000m on Thursday. Under inform jockey Piere Strydom, the La Berg Stud bred South East, second in his two previous starts, outgunned his rivals to record a two and three quarter length win for trainer Paul Peter and owners Joshua Peter.

Captain Of All notched up a quick double on Thursday when his three-year-old son, DARK TIDE, got off the mark when scoring by two and a quarter lengths maiden win over 1200m for trainer Lucky Houdalakis, jockey Marco Van Rensburg and owner Dr Taljaardt.

Another bred by the La Berg Stud, Dark Tide had finished second over 1450m on his previous start.
