Klawervlei Stud’s inform sire POMODORO (Jet Master) looks to have yet another performer to his name in the form of TCHAIKOVSKY.
The latter made it three wins in a row with another fine display at Kenilworth on Tuesday afternoon. Under Aldo Domeyer, Tchaikovsky produced a fine turn of foot in Tuesday’s eighth and final race, the World Sports Betting Classified Stakes (1000m), to mow down his rival’s close to home and score by a length and a quarter.
Trained by Candice Bass-Robinson, the progressive three-year-old had won his last two starts, with Tchaikovsky having downed G3 Cape Racing Cape Of Good Hope Nursery and subsequent Cape Thoroughbred Farm Sale race winner WE’RE JAMMING (Duke Of Marmalade) at his previous outing. Tchaikovsky was bred by Klawervlei Stud, and races for Mr and Mrs Langevin.
Pomodoro went close to having another double on Tuesday with his smart son POMODORO’S JET finishing a close up third in the fifth race at Kenilworth.
The former G1 Vodacom Durban July has had another good season in 2021-2022 thus far, with Pomodoro’s flagbearers this season including the likes of RUSSIAN ROCK, EPSOM GIRL and BLACK THORN to name but a few.
South Africa’s Leading First Season Sire of 2017-2018, Pomodoro has three lots on offer at the upcoming KZN Yearling Sale.
