Klawervlei Stud’s well bred resident sire ROYAL MO (Uncle Mo) looks to have come up with a very talented son in the form of the Klawervlei bred ROYAL AUSSIE. The latter took his earnings to well over R5.3 million when winning a courageous race at Hollywoodbets Kenilworth on Wednesday to take his tally of wins to four from just ten starts.

Under Richard Fourie, three-year-old Royal Aussie lagged some way off the early speed in Wednesday’s R150 000 Next Race Meeting On Saturday 20th May Cape A Stakes, but Richard Fourie timed his run to perfection and Royal Aussie gained the upper hand in the shadow of the post.

It was a smart performance by Royal Aussie, whose beaten rivals included the Klawervlei Stud bred G1 Jonsson Workwear Cape Derby/G1 Daily News 2000 winner LINEBACKER (Captain Of All) and a host of other high-class performers.

Trained by Justin Snaith, Royal Aussie races for Dane Squance, Suzette Viljoen and Dr Warner.

Royal Aussie, who had won the World Sports Betting Gold Rush earlier in the season (defeating, among others, subsequent G1 Splashout Cape Derby winner SEE IT AGAIN (Twice Over) in the process, has a WILLIAM LONGSWORD half-brother (Lot 59) on offer at the upcoming KZN Yearling Sale.

His G3 Robert B. Lewis Stakes winning sire Royal Mo shares his outstanding sire UNCLE MO (Indian Charlie) with Kentucky Derby winning champion NYQUIST, whose two-year-old daughter CRIMSON ADVOCATE recently stamped herself a likely contender for this year’s Royal Ascot meeting.
