Klawervlei Stud’s multiple G1 winning stallion CAPTAIN OF ALL (Captain Al) continues to enjoy a good run of success with his offspring on the racetrack, and the former Champion Sprinter supplied a pair of winners at Kenilworth on Tuesday afternoon.

Captain Of All runners opened and closed Tuesday’s meeting, with the sire’s daughter GILLIAN ANNE victorious in the first race and his son CAPTAIN DIZZY winning the eighth and final race at Kenilworth

The Peter Wrensch owned and trained Gillian Anne stayed on strongly, under Ossie Noach, to shed her maiden, at the fourth time of asking, while scoring by a length and a quarter over 1250m.

Bred by Klipdrif Stud, the three-year-old Gillian Anne had been fourth in her two previous starts and was having her first start at Durbanville on Tuesday.

Captain Of All’s second success on Tuesday came when his Piet Botha trained son, and former Klawervlei Farm Sale graduate, Captain Dizzy ran on strongly to score a last gasp win in Tuesday’s final race, and score by a long neck over 1000m.

Bred by Klawervlei Stud, the three-year-old Captain Dizzy was making it back to back wins with Tuesday’s score, with the gelding having romped home to a two and a half-length maiden win on his penultimate start.

Captain Dizzy, who has now won or placed in six of just eight starts, races for Messrs R C M Caris, M Le Roux & B R Nel.
