Klawervlei Stud’s consistently successful sire TWICE OVER (Observatory) came up with another eye catching stakes winner on Saturday. Twice Over’s classy son MUCHO DINERO turned the Listed Woolavington Stakes (2400m), run at Hollywoodbets Durbanville on Saturday, into a one-horse race as he romped home to score by an emphatic four and a quarter lengths.
Trained by Justin Snaith (who has enjoyed plenty of success with the progeny of Twice Over), four-year-old Mucho Dinero made it three wins in a row with a dominant display in the 2023 Woolavington Stakes.
Bred by Drakenstein Stud, Mucho Dinero was a R1 400 000 buy from the 2021 National Yearling Sale.
Twice Over has enjoyed plenty of success at Durbanville this season, with his sons SENSO UNICO and TRIPLE TIME finishing 1-2 respectively in the 2023 Listed Hollywoodbets Settlers Trophy.
Also the sire of this season’s leading Met hope SEE IT AGAIN, Twice Over also hails from a red hot family with his close relative TIME LOCK (Frankel) a four and a quarter length winner of the 2023 G3 Princess Royal Al Basti Equiworld Dubai World.
