Klawervlei Stud’s inform stallion CAPTAIN OF ALL (Captain Al) had another good double over the weekend.
Not only did Captain Of All gelding PRINCE VIHAAN score a good win on Friday, another son of the stallion, AMERICAN BISCUIT, justified favouritism when winning convincingly at Turffontein the following day.
Trained by Lunga Gila, four-year-old Prince Vihaan made it three wins from his last four starts when he kicked away to win Friday’s Play Soccer 6,10 and 13 Pinnacle Stakes (1600m) cosily by a length.
Bred by the Boland Stud, Prince Vihaan, who races for Trinisha Pillay, has now won four times in total, with the gelding having won from 1400m to 2000m.
His sire struck again the following day when Captain Of All colt AMERICAN BISCUIT landed the odds when taking the second race at Turffonten on Saturday. Under an inform Richard Fourie, the Tyrone Zackey trained three-year-old powered home to shed his maiden by a length and a half. Bred and owned by Rooispruit Stud, American Biscuit had finished fourth on debut before filling the third spot in his only two subsequent appearances.
Saturday also saw Captain Of All nearly have a treble with one daughter KISS ME CAPTAIN finishing a close up second in the G3 Sycamore Sprint and another daughter WOKONDA going down a head when second in the fourth race on the day.
South Africa’s Leading First Season Sire of 2018-2019, Captain Of All has five lots on offer at the upcoming National Yearling Sale including a full-sister (Lot 55) to multiple graded stakes winner SHANGO.
