Klawervlei Stud’s red hot stallion, WILLIAM LONGSWORD (Captain Al), continued his impressive streak with another outstanding performance on Sunday with a pair of winners at Hollywoodbets Greyville. Following his two winners on Monday and four winners at the Vaal on Thursday, including the unbeaten filly Just Be Lekker, William Longsword’s exceptional form carried on at Fairview on Friday, with his son Sirnihaallongsword winning over 1300 meters. One of four winners on the day for Gareth Van Zyl, three-year-old Shipholia fought out a thrilling finish to the eThekwini Sprint, which saw the Cole Dicken ridden filly get up to score by a neck. In landing Sunday’s R135 000 sprint, Shipholia accounted for a host of smart performers including Listed East Cape Sprint winner COUNTDOWN (Gimmethegreenlight), the progressive USA’S HOPE (The United States) and CAPTAIN OF ALL (Captain Al)’s classy son CAPTAIN BOMBSHELL. Bred by Klawervlei Stud, Shipholia, one of three winners at Greyville on Sunday for the Hollywood Syndicate, has now won three times with the filly unbeaten on the Polytrack surface.

William Longsword’s second success on Sunday came when his four-year-old daughter CRAZY BLUES won the eighth and final race for Lorenzo Karrim and Mario Ferreira. The Rathmor Stud bred filly was well positioned early on in Sunday’s New Turf Carriers VP Quarantine Station FM 74 Handicap (F and M) (1600m) before fighting out a thrilling duel with eventual runner up DUCHESS OF GOLD (Duke Of Marmalade) and going on to win by just under half a length. It was a fourth win for Crazy Blues, whose win continued the great run of success enjoyed by her sire of late.

William Longsword went close to having a treble on Sunday with his daughter SHANTA’S PRIDE finishing a close-up second in the second race run at Greyville.
