Klawervlei Stud’s triple G1 winning stallion CAPTAIN OF ALL (Captain Al) had a smart winner at Hollywoodbets Kenilworth on Sunday when his speedy daughter HEAR MY VOICE won the ninth and final race on the card.
In the process, the filly made it back-to-back wins, with Hear My Voice having scored over 1100 metres last time out.
Under a tremendous ride from the record chasing Richard Fourie, the Paul Reeves-trained Hear My Voice was covered up for much of Sunday’s Hollywoodbets Bright Future Cape C Stakes (1000m) before being set alight close home.
The four-year-old flew up and got up to win, going away, by a long neck.
Owned by the trainer’s mother, Mrs Cutmore, Hear My Voice has now won four times.
The filly was bred by the Klawervlei Grooms Trust.
Her sire Captain Of All was represented by no fewer than three runners in Saturday’s G3 TAB J J The Jet Plane Stakes including this season’s Listed Southeaster Sprint winner KISS ME CAPTAIN.
South Africa’s Leading First Season Sire of 2018-2019, Captain Of All enjoyed success at the recent Cape Yearling Sale where his yearlings made up to R325 000.
