Klawervlei Stud’s G1 Cape Guineas winning stallion WILLIAM LONGSWORD (Captain Al) looks to have a smart sort to his name in the form of ROYAL KINGDOM.
The latter made it back to back wins when he won impressively at Fairview on Friday.

Trained by Alan Greeff, three-year-old Royal Kingdom pulled away, under Richard Fourie, to claim Friday’s Play Soccer 6,10 and 13 MR 74 Handicap (1400m) by two and a half lengths. It was a fine effort from Royal Kingdom, who had five lengths to make up at the 300m mark.
The gelding, who races for Peter Moor, has now won three of his last five starts.

Bred by Mr Campbell, Royal Kingdom is out of a mare by TRIPPI (End Sweep), the sire of William Longsword’s outstanding half-sister REAL PRINCESS.

The latter, Equus Champion Broodmare Of 2024-2025, has produced three graded stakes winners to date including last season’s G1 Hollywoodbets Durban July winner THE REAL PRINCE (Gimmethegreenlight).

Real Princess is also the dam of hugely promising three-year-old GIMMIE RULES (Gimmethegreenlight), a winner of two of three starts and a potential runner in the G3 Cape Classic.
