Captain Of All gelding IBHELE made the perfect start to his racing career when he captured Wednesday’s Gold Circle Maiden Juvenile Plate (800m).
Under Chase Maujean, the Louis Goosen trained two-year-old dug out more in thed closing stages to hold off favourite FINE ONE (One World) and win by three-parts of a length.
Bred by the Late David Allan, Ibhele races for Messrs P M Chetty, R Chetty, Louis Goosen & L G Seja.
The son of Captain Of All was an R80 000 buy from the 2023 KZN Yearling Sale.
Ibhele’s triple G1 winning sire has been in good form of late, with the champion son of Captain Al also responsible for this season’s Listed Southeaster Sprint winner KISS ME CAPTAIN and recent Listed City Of Cape Town Sophomore Sprint runner up CAPTAIN ARROW. The high-class KISS ME CAPTAIN is a runner in Saturday’s G2 wsb.co.za Southern Cross Stakes.
Captain Of All has six lots on offer at the 2024 Cape Premier Yearling Sale, including a filly (Lot 14) out of a G3 winning three-parts sister to outstanding racehorse and sire DYNASTY (Fort Wood).
