Klawervlei Stud’s beautifully bred resident stallion COUP DE GRACE (Tapit) came up with an eye-catching winner at Durbanville on Wednesday afternoon.
His two-year-old son FINAL MOVE made a winning debut at Durbanville when scoring for trainer Vaughan Marshall, jockey Oswald Noach and owner-breeder John Kinsley.
Always travelling strongly, the Coup De Grace colt hit the front 150m from home and powered clear to score by three parts of a length, while making a winning debut over 1000 metres.
Final Move is Coup De Grace’s fifth two-year-old winner this season thus far, with the son of Tapit also responsible for the likes of DANSE MILORD, KWAZZI’S LADY, OLD GLORY and UNCOMPLICATED.
The half-brother to G1 winning two-year-old DANCING RAGS (Union Rags) has no fewer than three two-year-old daughters nominated for the upcoming Listed Lady’s Slipper Stakes.
Currently higher on this season’s Leading Sires Of 2YOs List than such high-class sires as TRIPPI (End Sweep), TWICE OVER (Observatory) and ELUSIVE FORT (Fort Wood), Coup De Grace has ten lots on the upcoming CTS Farm Yearling Sale, and five lots on the 2021 KZN Yearling Sale.
