Saturday brought a truly special moment at Turffontein as MIA MOO, proudly bred by Klawervlei, stormed home to claim another black type victory — and this one carries remarkable significance.

Not only did we breed Mia Moo, but we also bred her sire Vercingetorix, her dam Leeward, and Leeward’s legendary sire Captain Al. Even more special: the race she won carries the name of Carry On Alice, another exceptional mare bred right here at Klawervlei. A full circle moment and a celebration of generations of excellence.

Under a perfectly timed ride from Richard Fourie for trainer Sean Tarry (who also trained Carry On Alice), Mia Moo powered home from off the pace to win decisively, beating a strong field including Almond Sea, Rodeo Drive, Chasing Happiness and Elegantrix.

Now a seven-time winner from just 18 starts — including the G1 SA Fillies Sprint, G2 Camellia Stakes and G3 Sycamore Sprint — Mia Moo continues to showcase the exceptional class and consistency of the Klawervlei breeding legacy.

A proud day for everyone at Klawervlei — generations of champions, all rooted in one farm.
