Klawervlei Stud’s well performed young stallion ROYAL MO (Uncle Mo) looks to have come up with a very smart son from his first crop in the form of ROYAL AUSSIE.

The latter made a big impression when making it back to back wins with a stirring win at Kenilworth on Saturday afternoon.

Trained by Justin Snaith, Royal Aussie had caught the eye last time out when romping home to a clear-cut, two and a quarter length maiden win at Kenilworth and he was dispatched favourite for Saturday’s race, despite appearing to have a lot to do at the weights.

Under an inform Louis Mxothwa, the three-year-old Royal Mo colt was always up with the pace in Saturday’s contest, with Royal Aussie quickening up smartly in the straight to win a shade cosily by a length. The classy Royal Aussie has now won twice from just four starts, with the colt having finished second in his only other two starts.

Bred by Klawervlei Stud, Royal Aussie races for Dane Squance, Suzette Viljoen and Dr Warner.

He is one of five winners to have emerged from his sire’s first ten runners.

A son of outstanding US sire UNCLE MO (Indian Charlie), Royal Mo has four lots on the upcoming August Two Year Old Sale.
