Klawervlei Stud’s inform stallion CAPTAIN OF ALL (Captain Al) continued his good run when supplying a pair of winners at Hollywoodbets Kenilworth on Tuesday.
Both his Tuesday winners are trained by Greg Ennion, who had a treble on the card.
Captain Of All filly ROCKING PEONIE got off the mark when she powered home to win Tuesday’s #destinationcaperacing Open Maiden (F&M) (1400m) in taking style.
Under Corne Orffer, the Nadeson Park Stud bred three-year-old stormed home down the outside of the track to win going away by two and three quarter lengths.
Owned by the Genuine Ennion Syndicate, Rocking Peonie has benefitted from the fitting of blinkers and hopefully she can build on this win.
Captain Of All struck again when his lightly raced son MAJOR APOLLO won the tenth and final race at Hollywoodbets Kenilworth on Tuesday.
Under Corne Orffer, Major Apollo was always up with the pace in the Hollywoodbets Bright Future Cape C Stakes (1000m), and with 100m left to go, kept going to win convincingly by a length and a quarter.
Bred, like Captain Of All, by Riverton Stud, Major Apollo was building on a runner up finish last time out.
The three-year-old races for Martin Wickens, Steve Preston, Greg Ennion, Giselle Burg & Greenacres Trust.
His sire Captain Of All has a good run of late with his son MEU CAPITANO winning the recent Winter Sprint and his two-year-old daughter WHISTLE THE TUNE victorious in the Listed Hollywoodbets Super League Devon Air Stakes.
The former Equus Champion has seven lots on offer at the KZN Yearling Sale.
