Klawervlei Stud’s four time G1 winning stallion TWICE OVER (Observatory) is the sire of Wednesday’s easy winner ON AN IMPULSE.
The latter made headlines when winning at Fairview on Wednesday, with On An Impulse being the first winner, in his own name, for trainer Dean Smith.
Dean has taken over the yard of his late father Gavin, who recently tragically passed away.

Bred by Peter De Beyer, On An Impulse, who benefitted from a blinker strike, made a sparkling East Cape debut when he romped home to win Wednesday’s #Youcanbetonus! Maiden Plate by four lengths. Ridden to victory by Craig Zackey, On An Impulse races for the Kapnias brothers.

Twice Over could also be poised for feature race success this weekend, with his son TRIPLE TIME a contender for the Listed Woolavington Stakes.
Another son of Twice Over, SEE IT AGAIN, holds an entry for the G1 Betway Summer Cup, while Twice Over’s outstanding relative OMBUDSMAN (Night Of Thunder) features among the likely contenders for the Cartier Horse Of The Year award.
