Klawervlei Stud’s four time G1 winning sire TWICE OVER (Observatory) had a good winner at Hollywoodbets Greyville on Friday night.
His Louis Goosen trained son RODRIGUEZ showed his well being when he won the fifth race at Hollywoodbets Greyville.
Under an inspired ride from Blaine Marx-Jacobson, the durable gelding stormed home to get up in the shadow of the post and win by over three-parts of a length.
Now a seven time winner, who has earned more than R700 000 in stakes, Rodriguez was bred by Rathmor Stud.
Friday’s winner, who had finished in the first four in his five races prior to Friday, is owned by Mario Ferreira.
His sire Twice Over is also the sire of dual G1 winner SEE IT AGAIN, who holds an entry for the G1 Betway Summer Cup at the end of this month. Twice Over also has two runners entered for the upcoming Listed Woolavington Stakes.
