Klawervlei Stud’s inform stallion CAPTAIN OF ALL (Captain Al) came up with two more smart winners over the weekend.

On Sunday, Captain Of All gelding TROMPIE romped home to a very impressive win at Turffontein.

Now in the care of Brett and James Crawford, four-year-old Trompie turned Sunday’s In Loving Memory Of Johan Bester Middle Stakes into a one horse race.

Under Nirvan Nastili, the Captain Of All gelding flew out of the starting stalls and quickly went to the front. From there, Trompie pulled away to win convincingly by two and a half lengths, with graded stakes winners KARANGETANG (Erupt) and ROLLWITHTHEPUNCHES (Act Of War) among those beaten by Trompie.

Bred by Beaumont Stud, Trompie races for Messrs Gujadhur and Rod Mattheyse.

Captain Of All is also the sire of JEWEL CAT, with that Klawervlei Stud bred three-year-old winning a good race at Fairview on Friday. Another ridden by Nirvasn Nastili, Jewel Cat unleashed a fine turn of foot which saw him storm home to land Friday’s Racehorse Owners Association Pinnacle Stakes (1000m) by a convincing three-parts of a length.

Trained by Kelly Mitchley, the gelding was making it back to back wins, with Jewel Cat having won his previous start over 1200m. Jewel Cat is owned by Messrs S S Govender, M A Govender & T Govender and Mrs Sarosha Govender.

South Africa’s Leading First Season Sire of 2018-2019, Captain Of All is set to be represented by his Listed Hollywoodbets Super League Devon Air Stakes winning daughter WHISTLE THE TUNE in Saturday’s G2 Zulu Kingdom Explorer Golden Slipper.

The champion sprinter has seven lots on offer at this week’s KZN Yearling Sale including a colt (Lot 98) bred on similar lines to G1 winners AL NITAK (Al Mufti) and THE SHEIK (Al Mufti), and a half-brother (Lot 111) to Listed World Sports Betting The Scarlet Lady winner CELTIC BEAUTY (Vercingetorix).
