Klawervlei Stud’s multiple G1 winning stallion TWICE OVER came up with a pair of winners over the weekend. 

On Saturday, Twice Over gelding TAMBOURINE MAN won the ninth race at Hollywoodbets Kenilworth, and the following day, another son of Twice Over, LICENCE TO THRILL, won the seventh race at Hollywoodbets Scottsville. 

His sire’s only runner at Hollywoodbets Kenilworth, the Adam Marcus trained Tambourine Man was given a fine ride by Craig Zackey to land the penultimate race on Saturday.
Zackey bought Tambourine Man with a storming late run which saw Tambourine Man power home to win going away by a long neck. Bred by Klawervlei, five-year-old Tambourine Man races for Mr Gujadhur and Adam Marcus in partnership with Wendy Probert.

Twice Over’s second success this weekend came on Sunday when his son Licence To Thrill justified sustained betting support to win the Gallop TV Youtube Channel Middle Stakes over 1200 metres. Under Tristan Godden, four-year-old Licence To Thrill stormed home to make it back to back with a near half length triumph.

Another son of Twice Over, and 2022 G2 Senor Santa Stakes winner, SMORGASBORD, finished fourth to Licence To Thrill. Trained by Michael Miller, the Waterford Stud bred Licence To Thrill races for Sterling Miller and Ben Sahd.
