Klawervlei Stud’s Cape Guineas winning sire WILLIAM LONGSWORD (Captain Al) proved the star attraction at the recently held CTS Ready To Run, Unbroken 2 Year Old & Mixed Sale.
The brilliant son of Captain Al was responsible for the online sale’s top lot sold, in the form of the well related colt INCREDIBILL (Lot 63). The latter, consigned to the sale by Soetendal Estate, As Agent, was knocked down to Rickesh Sewgoolam for R475 000.
This was not the first time that William Longsword has made waves in the sales ring, with William Longsword ending the 2020 Cape Premier Yearling Sale as that sale’s Leading First Crop Sire by Aggregate.
A winner of six of just eight starts, including both the G1 Cape Guineas and CTS Mile, William Longsword is set to have his very first runner this week when his two-year-old daughter ROSE OF BAYEAUX makes her debut at Turffontein this Thursday.
William Longsword, who shares his late, great sire with current boom 3yos ERIK THE RED and MALMOOS, is a half-brother to G1 winning sprinter REAL PRINCESS (Trippi) and Wolf Power 1600 hero SILVER GOD (Silvano).
