Klawervlei Stud’s G1 Cape Guineas winning stallion WILLIAM LONGSWORD (Captain Al) continues to come up with smart winners.
The son of Captain Al had another good winner at Fairview on Friday when his daughter BONJOUR LA VILLE won over 1000 metres.
In the process, the Kelly Mitchley trained two-year-old made it two wins from her last three starts.

Under Brevan Plaatjies, Bonjour La Ville roared away from her older rivals to win the TAB Telebet 0861 000 822 MR 78 Handicap (1000m) by two and a quarter lengths. The consistent filly has won or been placed in five of her seven starts. Bred by Stonehill Stud, Friday’s winner races for the KM Racing Syndicate and Mr Cotterell.

William Longsword, who hails from one of the best families in the stud book, shares his increasingly influential sire Captain Al with a host of proven and promising stallions.
Captain Al also ranks as the sire of ERIK THE RED and ONE WORLD, South Africa’s Leading First and Second Season Sires respectively for 2024-2025, with another son, MALMOOS, set to be represented by his first runners next season.
