Klawervlei Stud’s blue blooded stallion WILLIAM LONGSWORD (Captain Al) looks to have a very smart three-year-old to his name in the form of ROYAL KINGDOM.
The latter made it three wins in a row when he ran out a convincing winner of the Guineas Plate at Fairview on Friday.

Under Richard Fourie, the Alan Greeff trained gelding raced at the back of the field for much of Friday’s race.
Fourie bought his mount with a sustained run, and Royal Kingdom drew off to land the Guineas Plate by a length and a quarter.

Bred by Mr Campbell, Royal Kingdom races for Peter Moor. The consistent gelding has won four of just eight starts, with Royal Kingdom yet to finish out of the first four.

The sire of G1 winner DYCE as well as the likes of ITSRAININGWILLIAM, RULERSHIP and BON VIVANT, William Longsword is set to be represented in Saturday’s G3 Ducat Africa Fillies Mile by his daughter FIRE IN HER SOUL.
