Klawervlei Stud’s G1 Cape Guineas winning stallion WILLIAM LONGSWORD (Captain Al) looks to have another potential smart sort on his hands in the form of NORTH POINT.
The latter made a big impression when winning impressively at Hollywoodbets Kenilworth on Sunday and he looks to be a two-year-old with a bright future.

Now in the care of Brett and James Crawford, North Point got off the mark at the third time of asking when he won Sunday’s Hollywoodbets Kenilworth Welcomes You Maiden Juvenile Plate (1000m).
Under JP Van Der Merwe, the grey made much of the running to win as he liked by three lengths.

Bred by the Klawervlei Grooms Trust, North Point races for Greg Bortz and Gina Goldsmith.

HIs sire William Longsword, who hails from one of the hottest families in the South African stud book, went close to enjoying further success at Turffontein on Saturday.
The Cape Guineas winner’s daughter JUST BE LEKKER finished second in the eighth race at Turffontein, and his two-year-old son TIME WILL TELL ran second, at the second time of asking, in the first contest.

William Longsword is set to be represented by his son THE CANE TRAIN in Sunday’s Listed Kings Cup.
