The bay recently came up with a classic winner when his talented, Klawervlei Stud bred son RUSSIAN ROCK accounted for subsequent G1 Jonsson Workwear Cape Derby winner LINEBACKER (Captain Of All), G1 L’Ormarins Queen’s Plate winner JET DARK (Trippi) and G1 World Sports Betting SA Classic winner MALMOOS (Captain Al), when he stormed home to win the G1 Cape Racing Presents The Cape Guineas earlier this season.
 
Russian Rock is one of a growing number of stakes winners for his sire Pomodoro. The Klawervlei Stud based European champion TWICE OVER (Observatory) was one of the finest racehorses ever to retire directly to stud in South Africa. A champion in both 2009 and 2010, Twice Over won 12 races in a career that saw him race from two to seven. He won four of the world’s premier G1 races -the G1 Juddmonte International, G1 Coral-Eclipse and two runnings of the G1 Emirates Airline Champion Stakes, and was placed in a further 10 G1 contests.
